In the UK the name Andy Sturgeon is synonymous with Garden Design. And that’s no surprise given he has been awarded a string of exhibition gold medals and twice won Best in Show (2010/2016) at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Born and raised in Surrey, Andy first started his career teaming up with his brother who was a landscape gardener, where he found he had great talent and vision when it came to landscape design. His interest and determination landed him a place to study at the Welsh College of Horticulture, specialising in tropical plants. From there, he set up an increasingly successful gardening business.
His first book, ‘Planted’ was publish in 1999, which was soon followed by frequent appearances on national television as a garden design expert. In fact, it is down to him, and only a handful of others, that this industry niche exists and continues to flourish.
The concept of garden square living has served as inspiration for the layout of Lillie Square, and Andy has beautifully designed all the green spaces, including the magnificent Lost River Park. Andy will also personally design the private gardens at Lillie Square East.
